Dr. K. Johnson possesses more than 30 years of professional and ethical social service experience in Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan counties. She has been our CEO and executive director for more than two years. She is a part-time professor at Walden University, Columbia College, and Savannah State University.
She worked as clinical manager of Gateway Behavioral Health Services in Effingham and Pembroke Counties for more than two years, worked for 23 years as a Certified Facilitator for Chatham County’s Family Violence Intervention Program for Men and Women with Union Mission (Parent and Child Development Services), worked for 18 years as Director of Family Preservation at Greenbriar Children’s Center, a shelter for abused, neglected, and abandoned children; and worked as a Medical Social Worker for 8 years at Memorial Medical University (Center).
is a National Domestic Violence Counselor, Georgia-Certified Domestic
Violence Facilitator, National Custody Evaluator, and National
Parenting Coordinator, Georgia Certified Comprehensive Child and Family Assessor, NASW Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Provider, Sources of Strength Trainer, and Certified Mental Health First Responder. Dr. Johnson also possesses a LMSW License in Georgia to practice social work.
